Hot Dip Galvanizing Process
Hot Dip Galvanizing is a factory controlled metallurgical combination of zinc and steel that provides corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments.
Hot Dip Galvanizing protects steel from corrosion in two ways. It provides cathodic protection and barrier protection.
For over 150 years Hot Dip Galvanizing has had a proven track record of protection in a myriad of applications.

Surface Preparation
Surface preparation is the most important step in the application of any coating. In most instances, where a coating fails before the end of its expected service life it is due to incorrect or inadequate surface preparation. With galvanizing, the surface preparation process contains its own built-in means of quality assurance and quality control in that zinc will simply not react with a steel surface that is not perfectly clean.

Galvanizing
In this step, the material is completely immersed in a bath of a minimum of 98% pure molten zinc. The bath temperature is maintained at about 4500C. Fabricated items are immersed in the bath long enough to reach bath temperature. The articles are slowly withdrawn from the galvanizing bath , and the excess zinc is removed by draining, vibrating, and/or centrifuging. The steel then goes into a dilute chromate quench giving your product a longer lasting luster.
Inspection/Finishing
The most important method of inspection for galvanized articles is visual. A variety of simple physical and laboratory tests may be performed for

Glass furnace lining
In order to maintain proper pressure profiles along the glass furnace, the quench gap plate spacing must be maintained at predetermined gaps. Unfortunately, due to process changes and temperature..Protective liners and lining systems protect an underlying surface from corrosion, wear, erosion, heat or fire. They may also provide leak protection or fluid containment
Boiler
Refractory ferrules provide the best protection possible for vulnerable boiler tube inlet areas and metal tube sheets in sulfur recovery units (SRUs), methane reformers and waste heat boilers (WHBs).Klin
are very high temperature thermal processing units that are used for firing ceramics or calcining minerals. They function at very high temperatures, typically above 2300 F. Industrial kilns may also be used for drying wood or wood products.Ball mill
Protective liners and lining systems protect an underlying surface from corrosion, wear, erosion, heat or fire. They may also provide leak protection or fluid containment. Protective liners and lining systems come in several forms. Loose or drop-in liners and lining systems are prefabricated into a specific shape to conform to the surface of a specific product or component. Tile, block or sectional liners and lining systems are cemented or bonded to a surface and then grouted or sealed. Wear plates or strips attach to surfaces through mechanical fastening, adhesive bonding, brazing or welding. Spray-on liners are formed in place through an immersion, spray or thermal deposition process. Some protective liners and lining systems are available as fluoroplastic films or barrier membranes. Others are available as coated cloths or tarps. Casings and supports for liners and lining systems are commonly available.Preheater
The preheater can be in a rectangular or polygon shape. It is composed of a floor, roof, and rams. Limestone enters the preheater at the top and flows down to the floor making a pile. The rams are pushed by hydraulic cylinders to slide the pile down a chute into the kiln. The purpose of the preheater is to remove heat from the exhaust air leaving the kiln while at the same time preheating the stone. The rams are sequenced and timed to give appropriate feed to the kiln.Cooler
